Edward Howard was one of the original founders of the America factory made watch movement industry. Howard was one of the original founders and partners of the American Waltham Watch Company in 1851, then he started the Boston Watch Co. in 1853 and in 1858 the E. Howard Co. introduced a watch entirely different than any other watch previously made with a "quick beat". The company was located in Roxbury, Mass. until 1903 when it was sold to the Keystone Watch Case Company in Jersey City, N.J., from 1903-1930. Very few parts and to none information is available for E. Howard Watches.
